Wrecked landmark leads to new blogger

Friends University has two stone walls that flank the east entrance to their campus. Oh, wait. Make that one stone wall that flanks the east entrance to their campus.

In Delano Wichita’s concise and up-to-date coverage (complete with compelling lede!) a link is provided to Erin Wolfe’s blog. Douglas and Main is glad they stumbled upon the blog and once again pleads begs asks if you know of a local blog that is not on the D&M blog roll please let us know. Don’t make us hunt them down. Makes ya wanna go huh?

I love the small print stuff in the Eagle. It is a gold mine of head scratcher nuggets and all sorts of things you want to attend just to have your curiosity quelled. Say, something like this:

Laurel and Hardy Films, “Busy Bodies” and “The Further Perils of Laurel an Hardy,” 6:30-10 p.m., Calvary United Methodist Church, 2525 N. Rock Road. Presented by Sons of the Desert Laughing Gravy Tent Oasis No. 229 of Wichita. Donation. Information, 316-841-8312.
